It takes a (Canadian) village (with a courthouse)

|

It appears that in Canada, parenting may soon be illegal. As detailed in this article, a Canadian court has "overturned" a punishment administered by a father on his twelve year old daughter. The father grounded the daughter because of her disobedience. She took him to court and won -- the court "ordered the grounding... lifted".

That's not even the best part. The best part is that the girl was able to use a court-appointed lawyer to plead her case. So, the father wound up paying (through taxation) for the lawyer, judge, and courthouse (not to mention his own attorney) so that the state could usurp his God-given parental authority.

Think it can't happen here? The democrats nearly nominated Hillary "it-takes-a-village" Clinton, who (in my opinion) would most likely have won the election. She would have no trouble appointing judges who would have ruled just the same way, and a democrat-dominated Senate would have approved them.
