Autism Quotient
Self-test for Autism Quotient: http://www.msnbc.com/modules/n...
Bear in mind, it's a self-test. This means its accuracy will be highly suspect, especially by those personalities that can easily and naturally morph.

Above average
I scored a 27, making me "above average."
I think this is stupid. Most of the questions could also point to a certain type of personality, namely melancholic. The personality tests I've taken say that I'm about a complete melancholic. I may not be an introvert but I'm not autistic either.
Not necessarily stupid
Being a self-test, it's obviously not super-accurate, but it needn't be stupid. And just because you're "above average" doesn't mean there's a problem. Also, personality traits do indeed tend to prefer one end of the spectrum or the other. Since it's not a problem until you get into at least the "very high" range, there should be little concern for any other score.
If you look in the DSM-IV, you'll see that most disorders are limited (defined, if you will) by their effect on everyday life. OCD, for example, may not be formally diagnosed even if you truly had many of its symptoms until it began to interfere with your life. If you have trouble leaving your home because you obsess over checking the stove, then it's a problem for you. Until then, it's just a personality trait--neither good nor bad. Likewise for this autism quotient.
My score
I test out anywhere between 10 and 14, depending upon my mood. This is certainly lower than I would have thought given my general dislike of most people and social customs.

More copies
Links tend to be taken down by other sites, so I thought including an extra copies would be helpful here.
