Good Husband

1. He should have noble character.
2. He should earn his wife's confidence.
3. He must be working toward his family's good.
4. He should be willing to work eagerly with his hands (i.e., willing to do practical tasks).
5. He must be willing to sacrifice his own comfort for the needs of his family.
6. He should be financially resourceful.
7. He should be diligent.
8. He should be willing to love and serve the poor.
9. He should plan ahead for the needs of his family.
10. He should take good care of himself to keep himself attractive to his wife.
11. He should be a leader in the community.
12. He should be strong and dignified.
13. He must be a born-again Christian, able to give testimony of his salvation.
14. He should be patient.
15. He should be kind.
16. He should not be envious.
17. He should be humble.
18. He should be not easily angered.
19. He should not hold a grudge.
20. He should not delight in evil.
21. He should rejoice with the truth.
22. He should be a protector.
23. He should be trusting.
24. He should have hope.

40. He must have not even a hint of sexual immorality or impurity.
41. He should not joke coarsely or say inappropriate things.

44. He must not be yoked with unbelievers.
45. He should be the salt of the earth and light of the world and obey the Great Commission.

47. He should be committed to Christian fellowship.
48. He should keep his priorities straight.

51. He should not be overweight (a violation of the principle of self-control).

58. He should have daily quiet times with the Lord.
59. He should love Israel and the Chosen People.
60. He must submit to the Lord's authority.
