Good Husband
- He should have noble character.
- He should earn his wife's confidence.
- He must be working toward his family's good.
- He should be willing to work eagerly with his hands (i.e., willing to do practical tasks).
- He must be willing to sacrifice his own comfort for the needs of his family.
- He should be financially resourceful.
- He should be diligent.
- He should be willing to love and serve the poor.
- He should plan ahead for the needs of his family.
- He should take good care of himself to keep himself attractive to his wife.
- He should be a leader in the community.
- He should be strong and dignified.
- He must be a born-again Christian, able to give testimony of his salvation.
- He should be patient.
- He should be kind.
- He should not be envious.
- He should be humble.
- He should be not easily angered.
- He should not hold a grudge.
- He should not delight in evil.
- He should rejoice with the truth.
- He should be a protector.
- He should be trusting.
- He should have hope.
- He should persevere.
- He should be loving.
- He should be joyful.
- He should be good.
- He should be peaceful.
- He should be faithful.
- He should be gentle.
- He must have self-control.
- He should be a hard worker.
- He must love the Lord with all his heart, soul, mind, and body.
- He should walk in all God's ways.
- He should hold fast to the Lord.
- He should not worry, but turn to God in prayer.
- He should press onward toward the goal.
- He should build others up with his words.
- He must have not even a hint of sexual immorality or impurity.
- He should not joke coarsely or say inappropriate things.
- He should not gossip.
- He should not be greedy.
- He must not be yoked with unbelievers.
- He should be the salt of the earth and light of the world and obey the Great Commission.
- He should like children.
- He should be committed to Christian fellowship.
- He should keep his priorities straight.
- He should have a sense of humor.
- He should be intelligent.
- He should not be overweight (a violation of the principle of self-control).
- He must be able to support a family.
- He must be the spiritual leader of the home.
- He should be committed to staying out of debt.
- He must be committed to homeschooling.
- He should have some kind of musical ability.
- He must be attractive to me.
- He should have daily quiet times with the Lord.
- He should love Israel and the Chosen People.
- He must submit to the Lord's authority.
